What’s Your Why Wednesday

Ms. Raduege- School Counselor

Growing up I wanted to be a teacher or a nurse. I enjoy helping others. I began my career as a Registered Nurse, transitioning into the educational setting in 2003. I quickly became aware that working with kids and counseling was my calling. So, I went back to school and started as a school counselor in 2005.

I am blessed to spend my time working with elementary kids. I enjoy teaching life skills such as conflict resolution, anger management, friendship skills, and calming strategies. I feel it's important to empower the students with mindfulness techniques that they can use to handle life's stressors. It is imperative to teach them about emotional regulation while also practicing empathy and kindness to others.

I have a passion for working with children and smile everyday with the precious things they say. If I can make a difference in a child's life, then I will be fulfilled in my career aspirations! It is such a joy to work with your child(ren) and I thank you for trusting me with each and every one of them!
